Under the supervision of the Institutional Personnel Officer (IPO), performs average analytical work in classification and pay functions for the institution. Provide consultation and acts as an expert resource staff for classification and pay inquires. Incumbents exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in making determinations based on ever changing policies, workload and deadlines. Prepares correspondence and statistical reports that pertains to all personnel functions.

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
